CLASPS
Various clasp types are available - Open Claw, - Screw Thread and -Magnetic (on smaller, lighter items only). We can supply necklaces with your choice of clasp if you specify when ordering.
DESIGN
All our necklaces are designed to fail 'safe' under most conditions. Under stress, the clasp end will normally ease open releasing the nylon. The stones will remain on the nylon so you won't have to go crawling around the floor to collect them. When the clasp end is squeezed back on the nylon the necklace should be as good as new again. (this does not unfortunately apply to 'chip strings' which have no clasps).
MATERIALS
We take care in selecting the materials for our products. We try to use only natural stone, which, by its nature, will sometimes contain natural 'flaws' as part of its beauty. We will not use any stone we consider likely to fail and will do our best to replace any which do fail in subsequent use. Stones are strung on strong hard wearing nylon. Where possible, we always use metal or glass spacing beads between the stones and avoid the use of plastic.
